The old, but slightly dilapidated shed served us well for many years. The beautiful new shed makes us AND the neighbors happier!!!

During the summer shutdown of 2003, we replaced our old 8x10 shed with a brand new 12x16 one that looks a LOT better, and will (we hope) help us to keep a little better organized. It was a great learning experience for all of us, though an exhausting one!!! We could never have done it without Bruce's wonderful support, advice, muscles, and tireless energy. Thanks Bruce!!

  • Thursday Jun 26 / supplies delivered by CML
  • Monday Jun 30 / Destroy old shed, build floor, build & raise 3 walls; Carla bought a car
  • Tuesday Jul 1 / Put up 4th wall, put up trusses, sheeted roof and gable ends
  • Wednesday Jul 2 / Took a break, went to Ludington
  • Thursday Jul 3 / Trimmed gable ends; slow detail work, lots of angles to figure and cut.
  • Friday Jul 4 / Put on the shingles. Quit @ 1:00 for rain. Later, watched fireworks in Clio
  • Saturday Jul 5 / Tarred roof, installed trim on corners.
  • Sunday Jul 6 / Trimmed around barn door, cut and installed loft rafters.
